Viacheslav Ivanov (Slava) in Vienna, December 12-14

Viacheslav Ivanov (Slava) in Vienna, December 12-14

Viacheslav Ivanov is dancing tango from 2000. He lives and works in Slovenia and travels with workshops throughout Europe.

During the classes he likes to suggest to students the idea that it’s not so important WHAT to do, but HOW to do it and what one can put INSIDE.

He does believe that “Tango isn’t the steps, it’s something in between...” and that the phrase "Less is More" works very well in Tango.More information about Viacheslav as well as some video (summaries of classes and demos) could be found on his page «TangoDeep”:

The concept of this tango weekend is "when, how, why we move and  stop in tango, how we use silente and sounds in music".  We have divided this global topic into 2 parts.

Part 1. Paradas. Thursday, December 12, 18.00-20.00

Why do we love paradas? What for we can use them while dancing?

This 2-hours class is about decorations, style, technique and improvisation! And how to use silent and sounds for paradas.

There are a number of "types" of paradas. We are going to work with some of them and also pay attention to the questions "how to come to a parada?" and "different ways to proceed dancing after a parada.

Part 2. Musicality. Saturday, December 14, 13.45 -15.00

Imagination, musical structure and rhythmical patterns.

The main idea is “How to work on Musicality” or “How one can improve his/her ability to be connected to the Music”. It's not just some list of exercises, but a concept. A concept, how to dance tango 😎

Of course, there will be some exercises too. As well as homework. (Don't worry, It's not mandatory 😉)

Both classes are for any level.

🎄And Slava will play music on our ✨Christmas Milonga✨ on Saturday (15.00-18.00)
